The Ranch Systems RX20 provides a simple interface between Modbus host systems and field-installed metering and control equipment. A dedicated counter input supports compatible pulse-output meters, while the DC latching output provides efficient control of compatible latching valves.
How it connects
In the field
Dry contact or reed switch, 0–100 Hz, into the counter input
±9–12 V DC, driven by the valve output
Counts pulses (with supercap backup) and switches the valve. 12 VDC.
Your system
PLC, controller, SCADA or building management system reads the meter count and commands the valve over Modbus RTU
